Darood Sharif Islamic Knowledge Centre

Darood Sharif, also known as Salawat, is a special prayer of blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The Quran commands believers: “Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O believers, send blessings upon him and greet him with peace” (Al-Ahzab 33:56). Reciting Darood brings mercy, forgiveness, and spiritual peace. Hadith teaches that for every one blessing a Muslim sends, Allah sends ten in return. Darood Sharif can be short, like Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, or longer, like Durood-e-Ibrahim recited in daily prayers. It prepares the heart for dua, purifies the soul, and deepens love for the Prophet, Learn Salawat & Daily Duas
